Job Description:
2025.26 Substitute Receptionist The Out-of-Door Academy seeks
Substitute Receptionists to join a thriving school that is
committed to providing a relevant and student-centered learning
experience. Responsibilities Reporting to the Division Heads, the
Substitute Receptionist will be responsible for the following: Acts
as the first point of contact for the school, welcoming all
incoming students, families and guests. Answers incoming calls,
responds to inquiries in a helpful and constructive manner and
ensures that appropriate actions are taken in a timely manner.
Performs general clerical functions to support and maintain
professional front office operations. Prepares and distributes
daily attendance, absences, and tardy reports. Provides assistance
with bus transportation system by keeping an up-to-date list of
students riding and notifying staff of dismissal plan changes.
Utilizes school public address system to provide updates and
notifications as appropriate. Lives the school’s mission and core
values of respect, integrity, service, excellence, and
responsibility. Qualifications - The following experience, skills &
knowledge are required and/or preferred: H.S. Diploma required
Ability to develop positive rapport with students, educators and
parents. E xcellent written and oral communication skills. G ood
organizational and multi-tasking skills. Compensation and Benefits
This is a temporary, non-exempt position available with varying
availability dependent upon the school’s needs. Assignments may be
at the Siesta Key Campus or the Uihlein Campus at Lakewood Ranch.
