Job Description Job Description The position of CNC Router Operator is responsible for programming, operating, monitoring and maintaining the CNC Router Machine. DUTIES Program, operate, monitor and maintain the CNC Router Machine Produce products by programming, setting up and operating the machine Creates cut files by studying work orders and blue prints and then programs the CNC machine appropriately Cuts accurate pieces of signage using the correct materials Plans stock inventory by checking stock to determine amount available; anticipating needed stock; placing and expediting orders for stock. Working knowledge of computer graphics software is a plus including Illustrator and Corel Draw. Documents actions by completing production and quality logs. Verifies setting by measuring positions, first run-part, and sample workpieces; adhering to required specifications. Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications. Follow the rules and regulations related to the safety of all employees working for the Company. To become a part of our team we require applicants for our CNC Router Operator position to have the following qualifications: SKILLS Mechanical aptitude Basic mathematical skills, ability to read a tape measure Effective interpersonal, oral and written communications skills Ability to read blue prints and interpret sign/shop drawings and specifications Ability to multi-task and handle numerous projects simultaneously, time management EDUCATION Highschool diploma, GED or the equivalent of training, education and experience. EXPERIENCE Two plus years of experience as CNC Operator.
