Opportunity Impact The Structural Engineer serves as a leader
responsible for the analysis, design, and delivery of structural
systems for a wide range of building and infrastructure projects.
This role requires a Professional Engineer (PE) license and proven
experience delivering high-quality structural designs. The
Structural Engineer coordinates design activities, supports project
submission schedules, and performs Quality Assurance/Quality
Control reviews to ensure structural solutions are safe, efficient,
constructible, and aligned with client objectives. This position
offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects
while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with
multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities Leads independent
structural planning and design efforts, reviews the work of others,
prepares construction documents, and successfully delivers projects
from concept through construction. Designs and analyzes structural
systems using steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and other materials,
applying advanced engineering principles to solve complex technical
challenges. Collaborates closely with architects, mechanical,
electrical, civil engineers, and other disciplines to deliver
coordinated, integrated project solutions. Conducts QA/QC reviews
of structural calculations, drawings, and specifications to ensure
compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client
requirements. Supports senior management with the development of
project schedules, technical proposals, and labor hour estimates
for structural engineering scopes. Communicates effectively with
project teams to define scope, identify risks, and ensure timely
and accurate delivery of work. Promotes and supports quality
assurance and quality control processes to enhance deliverable
quality and reduce errors or omissions. Performs and verifies
structural design calculations, develops technical specifications,
and prepares reliable cost estimates. Develops and manages design
budgets for routine structural scopes of work. Mentors engineering
associates and interns by providing guidance, technical training,
and support to foster professional growth and advancement.
Education and Experience Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
in position relevant Engineering field from ABET accredited school.
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years’ of job-related experience.
Licensure/Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) required.
Preferred Qualifications Demonstrates a strong desire to expand
knowledge and take on new responsibilities within the engineering
field. Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and/or other
discipline-specific programs preferred. Proficient in Microsoft
Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook). Excellent
organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks
and meet project deadlines effectively. Strong oral and written
communication skills, with the ability to work independently as
well as collaboratively within a project team. Exhibits strong
critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to
