Unlock your potential at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital! Job Summary and Qualifications The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience. What you will do in this role:
  • Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
  • Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.Education
    • Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred. Licensing/Certifications
      • Current FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire.
      • Current BLS Certification from the American Red Cross (HCA chosen provider) OR American Heart Association required.
      • Current ACLS Certification preferred - required within 6 months of hire.
      • Current NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification preferred - required within 6 months of certification eligibility.
      • Current PCCN (Progressive Care Certified RN), CCRN (Certified Critical Care RN), or RN-BC (MS or CV) preferred - required within 6 months of certification eligibility. Qualifications
        • Previous experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.
        • Prior EKG/Telemetry training and certification preferred.
        • Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
        • Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skillsThis role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
