Description This Registered Nurse position is part of our Progressive Care Unit Nursing Team. Our PCU team is providing care for patients with a variety of cardiac diagnoses within a 42-bed setting. This position offers a full time 36 hours/week schedule, regularly consisting of 12-hour (7p-7a) shifts with weekend rotations. At HCA Healthcare, we are all caregivers. EducationNursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred. Licensing/CertificationsCurrent FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire. Current BLS Certification from the American Red Cross (HCA chosen provider) OR American Heart Association required.Current ACLS Certification preferred - required within 6 months of hire.Current NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification preferred - required within 6 months of certification eligibility.Current PCCN (Progressive Care Certified RN), CCRN (Certified Critical Care RN), or RN-BC (MS or CV) preferred - required within 6 months of certification eligibility. QualificationsPrevious experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred.Prior EKG/Telemetry training and certification preferred. Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
