skilled CVOR Surgical Technologist for a 13 week travel assignment
in St Petersburg, Florida. As a member of our team, you'll have the

Qualifications:/n/n /n/t - One year of recent experience as a CVOR
surgical tech/n/t - Current BLS Certification (AHA/ ARC)/n
/n/nPreferred Qualifications:/n/n /n/t - CST or nationally
recognized equivalent certification/n/t - Other certifications and
licenses may be required for this position/n /n/nSummary:/n/n CVOR
surgical technologists facilitates the safe and effective execution
of cardiovascular surgical procedures under the supervision of the
surgeon. They are responsible for preparing the operating room,
maintaining sterile environments, ensuring equipment functionality,
and anticipating the needs of the surgical team to maximize patient
safety and procedural efficiency. /n/nEssential Work Functions:/n/n
/n/t - Set up the operating room prior to surgical procedures/n/t -
Stock surgical supplies and inspect surgical machines and equipment
to ensure proper functionality prior to procedures/n/t - Assist in
Transporting patients to and from surgery as required/n/t -
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and
the surgical team to deliver coordinated care/n/t - Anticipating
the surgeon’s needs and efficiently passing instruments are
essential for maintaining procedural flow/n/t - Handle specimens
with precision and care to maintain diagnostic integrity and follow
institutional protocols/n/t - Collaborate with other health team
members to ensure seamless surgical workflow/n/t - Maintain
sterility by cleaning and sterilizing instruments and equipment in
compliance with infection control standards/n/t - Utilize data from
surgical preference cards for the surgical procedure and
surgeon/n/t - Maintain proficiency in cardiovascular and
cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including open and closed heart
surgeries/n/t - Perform other duties as assigned within the scope
of practice/n/t - Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection
control guidelines, and regulatory standards/n /n/nRequired
Essential Skills:/n/n /n/t - Critical thinking, service excellence
and good interpersonal communication skills/n/t - The ability to
read, write, & communicate in the English language is required/n/t
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal
instructions, and proficiency in PC skills/n/t - Physical Abilities
- Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment
(50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending/n/t - Interpersonal Skills -
To work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and
ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism/n/t -
Technical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation,
pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with
procedures and/or using department equipment./n/t - Mental
Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the
general public, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure.
Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally as well
as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to
contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and
