A surgical technologist with specialized experience in cardiovascular operating rooms (CVOR) is needed for a 13-week contract opportunity in Saint Petersburg, FL. This role involves supporting surgical teams by preparing operating rooms, managing surgical instruments, and ensuring adherence to sterilization and safety protocols. Candidates must be ready to provide on-call support and float to other areas as appropriate. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain the CVOR for surgical procedures. Assist surgical teams by providing instruments and supplies. Participate in pre-shift huddles to coordinate patient care. Provide on-call coverage two weeknights per week and one weekend per month. Float to applicable areas when needed to support operational needs. Desired Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist in a CVOR setting. Current BLS certification. Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA. Ability to work a 10-hour shift with flexibility for on-call duties. Strong attention to detail and knowledge of sterile techniques. Schedule: 10-hour shifts. On-call coverage: 2 weeknights per week and 1 weekend per month.
