Established in 1970, Boley Centers, Inc. is a private, non-profit
organization serving individuals with mental disabilities,
individuals and families who are homeless, Veterans and youth in
Pinellas County. Boley Centers has an opportunity for an
experienced Admissions Coordinator whose responsibilities will
include managing the initial referral, screening and intake process
for individuals seeking admission to the residential behavioral
health program. This role serves as the first point of contact for
potential clients and referral sources, ensuring timely, accurate,
and clinically appropriate admissions while maintaining compliance
with regulatory, ethical, and confidentiality standards.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Admissions & Screening • Conduct initial
screenings via video call or in person to determine clinical
appropriateness for residential treatment based on priority
populations (forensic and civil referrals) as determined by
managing entity. • Gather demographic, clinical, psychosocial, and
insurance information from clients, families, and referral sources.
• Review presenting problems, mental health history, substance use
history (if applicable), risk factors, and level-of-care criteria.
• Collaborate with clinical leadership to determine admission
eligibility and bed availability and add to waitlist if applicable;
maintain waitlist, contact weekly and update disposition. •
Communicate admission decisions clearly and compassionately.
Coordination & Communication • Serve as a liaison between referral
sources, clinical staff, nursing, and administrative teams. •
Schedule admissions and coordinate arrival logistics. • Maintain
communication with families and referral partners. • Provide
accurate information about program services, policies, and
expectations. Documentation & Compliance • Complete intake
documentation accurately and timely. • Obtain required consents and
releases. • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, state regulations, and
accreditation standards (e.g., CARF). Crisis & Risk Management •
Identify high-risk situations and follow escalation protocols. •
Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure safe admissions. •
Provide trauma-informed responses during crisis calls. EDUCATION
AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work,
counseling, human services, or related field required. 2–3 years of
experience in behavioral health admissions or intake preferred.
Residential, inpatient, or case management in community mental
health experience preferred. KNOWLEDGE • Understanding of
behavioral health diagnoses and levels of care. • Strong verbal and
written communication and organizational skills. • Ability to
manage multiple referrals in a fast-paced environment. •
Proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office. • Able to work
in a multidisciplinary team • Able to pass HR designated background
checks. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Valid Florida driver's license, auto
insurance and own transportation vehicle required. Florida’s Care
