Job Description Daily Responsibilities for a Pediatric Surgeon As one of the nation’s leading pediatric healthcare systems, we are committed to providing all children with their best chance to grow up healthy. We provide integrated, family-centered care to over 200,000 children annually in our pediatric hospitals, specialty clinics, and primary care practices. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a collaborative environment, working alongside two other Pediatric Surgeons with support from five additional Pediatric Surgeons based nearby in Orlando. Access to a wide range of specialty services, including outpatient Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Nephrology, Urology, Rheumatology, and Maternal Fetal Medicine. Inpatient services include Cardiology and MFM Consults, PICU and General Surgery Medical Directorship, and Neurology. What We Offer! NO STATE INCOME TAX! Currently, the surgeons provide three half-days of clinic, two half-days in the OR, and spend the remaining time rounding on inpatients and handling consults. Primary weekday call is covered by Advanced Practitioners, with surgeons serving as back-up for emergent surgical needs on a 1:3 rotation.
