Job Description:
As a Marine Interdiction Agent with the U.S. Customs and Border
Protection (CBP), you will play a critical role in securing
America’s borders along coastal areas and navigable waterways. You
will be on the frontline protecting the nation from a variety of
security threats, enforcing laws related to immigration, drug
trafficking, and maritime navigation. This role requires strategic
thinking, physical endurance, and a deep commitment to upholding
national and international maritime laws. Operate maritime vessels
and tactical equipment in all weather conditions. Enforce U.S.
laws, including those relating to immigration, customs, and drug
enforcement. Conduct investigations and gather intelligence related
to maritime activities. Perform arrests and detain suspects
involved in criminal or illegal operations. Collaborate with other
law enforcement and security agencies for coordinated operations.
Participate in training and drills related to maritime security and
enforcement strategies. Provide testimony in court for cases
related to interdicted activities. Proficiency in navigation and
operation of various types of maritime vessels. Ability to swim and
perform water rescues. Strong analytical and decision-making skills
under pressure. Knowledge of national and international maritime
laws. Expertise in tactical communications and surveillance
equipment. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance 401k Completion of
CBP Marine Interdiction Agent Training Program. A valid U.S. Coast
Guard Merchant Mariner Credential. Certification in CPR and basic
first aid.
